In 2017, Raymond-CBE completed the independent research and development of the first full-synchronous bolt tensioner for the first batch of demonstration projects of HPR1000, and won the top-10 innovative products of China's energy equipment in 2017, which will be used for the first demonstration project of HPR1000. HPR1000 is the third-generation nuclear power technology with independent intellectual property rights in China. The full-synchronous bolt tensioner for reactor pressure vessel is one of the key equipments of HPR1000, which is used in critical route of nuclear power unit overhaul. As the time value is extremely high, the tensioner’s performance directly affects the economical efficiency of the unit and the safety of the operators. At present, there is no successful precedent for tensioner’s R&D at home and abroad. Not only has Raymond-CBE achieved the localization of the key equipment in nuclear power field, but the product’s performance is better than similar foreign products. Raymond-CBE has made a breakthough among the technological monopoly from the foreign countries, which is of great significance for promoting the localization of nuclear power, and also for providing independent technical support for China's third-generation nuclear power technology HPR1000, to achieve the “going out” strategy.

In the field of special welding, the company has solved the major process problems of narrow gap welding of large thick nickel-base alloy main pipes for nuclear power, pipe & tube welding of dissimilar materials, welding in nuclear radiation environment, welding in narrow space and so on. The SmartArc-400TE full-position intelligent welding system developed by Raymond-CBE with property rights has broad application prospects in nuclear energy, petrochemical industry, electric power, shipbuilding, national defense industry and other industries. In the field of offshore oil, the company has successfully developed submarine multi-functional heavy-duty robot, submarine high-pressure abrasive water jet cutting robot, offshore submarine pipeline laying robot, offshore submarine cable/optical cable laying robot and submarine ultra-high pressure abrasive water jet cutting robot, etc. In addition, the company also undertakes the R&D work of damaged component welding and opening/closing operation robot, nuclear fuel loading, unloading and storage system on the marine floating platform, the marine organism cleaning robot applied to nuclear power plant water culvert and so on.
